Overview
Jeffrey S. Becker is a partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP in Chicago and the founder of the firm’s Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group, established in 2012. He represents a diverse range of clients, including Grammy Award-winning musicians, producers, songwriters, publishers, record labels, professional athletes, authors, independent filmmakers, and other creative professionals and entertainment-related businesses.
Jeff greatly admires artists who embrace the rollercoaster ride of “making it” in the industry. While he once harbored similar aspirations, Jeff chose a more conventional path in the law, but his reverence for those who bravely traverse the uncertain terrain of the arts remains unwavering. Jeff founded the firm’s Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group in 2012 and now champions artists in the legal arena, ensuring they receive the recognition and support they deserve, even if his own artistic ventures are limited to doodles and sticky notes.
