Biography

With over 20 years of litigation experience, Adam has successfully litigated and tried high-exposure and high-profile cases throughout the United States. His practice covers a broad spectrum of defense litigation, including product liability, pharmaceuticals & medical devices, and fire and explosion matters, among various business disputes.

Adam promptly handles all aspects of a case, from inception through resolution, working closely with clients such as product manufacturers, distributors, component part suppliers, and retailers, to effectively manage risk, develop comprehensive strategies and obtain positive results. He is a trusted advocate known for his work ethic, diligence, and commitment to his clients.

Actively involved in the legal community, Adam is a frequent author of legal publications, including on behalf of the American Bar Association. He has also written legal practitioner and practice materials for The Missouri Bar and presented CLEs on discovery and trial strategy.

  • Successfully defended in excess of one hundred high-exposure corporate cases around the United States
  • Successfully negotiated settlements and dismissals in mediations and settlement conferences in complex litigation
  • Taken hundreds of complex depositions of various parties, engineers, health care providers and expert witnesses
  • Defended complex corporate representative depositions of key employees
  • Represented clients in complex federal multi-district litigation
  • Obtained summary judgment for automotive product manufacturers and medical device manufacturers
  • Represented clients in complex punitive damages cases, including obtaining relief from a punitive award post-trial
  • Works with various jury consultants including with mock trials and other jury research
  • Defended high-document cases involving millions of client documents produced during the litigation
  • Provided counseling and training to in-house counsel on management of litigation portfolios
  • Provided counseling to manufacturers for drafting of product documents including warnings and disclosures
  • Provided counseling to manufacturers and distributors for industry risk assessment
