Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Sponsors Chicago International Film Festival

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP is a proud Festival Sponsor of the 55th Chicago International Film Festival this month.

Partner Brenda Robinson is an executive producer of the documentary film "Jump Shot" that will have a premiere screening at the festival. "Jump Shot" tells the story of Kenny Sailors, a young Wyoming athlete who pioneered his “leaping one-hander” in the 1940s. The film, which was also executive produced by NBA star Steph Curry, stars Curry, Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, Bobby Knight and other basketball luminaries. In addition to her production work, Robinson is also on the Governing Board of Directors for Cinema/Chicago, the presenting organization of the Chicago International Film Festival. She also currently serves as official legal counsel to the festival, known as the longest running international competitive film festival in North America.

Partner Jeffrey S. Becker will be a panelist at Industry Days, the festival's hub for filmmakers and industry professionals to connect, share ideas and be inspired. Becker's panel is titled, "They Are the Champions: Accessing Lawyers, Agents and Managers," giving attendees information on how to find representatives.

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP will also support The Pitch at Industry Days, where a curated selection of filmmakers with new narrative projects in active development will take part in a competitive pitch session. The winning pitch, selected by a jury of film experts, will receive an award of in-kind services from numerous Chicago production facilities and consultation services, including Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP.
