Robinson, Grammy Music Education Coalition Launch All-Star Ambassador ProgramSwanson, Martin & Bell, LLP partner Brenda Robinson was proud to stand with fellow board members of the GRAMMY® Music Education Coalition (GMEC) as the GMEC announced its 2019 plans.
The non-profit collective is dedicated to bringing universal music education to all public schools in America. GMEC plans an All-Star Ambassador program and the launch of intensive programs in Philadelphia and Nashville. The effort is the first of its kind to marshal the forces of diverse like-minded institutions and is a partnership of 40 major progressive music education and philanthropic organizations.
The All-Star Ambassador program consists musicians with personal connections to music education and who have committed to spreading awareness and raising funds for music education. They include Best New Artist GRAMMY® Award nominee Bebe Rexha, pop star Rita Ora, Broadway veteran Kristin Chenoweth,GRAMMY® Award winner Stephen Marley, Latin star Luis Fonsi, country newcomer Caroline Jones, classical pianist Lang Lang, Guns n’ Roses' Matt Sorum, saxophonist Mindi Abair, songwriter Regina Spektor and Philly rock band the War on Drugs.
