William Rogers Featured In ISBA Illinois Law Journal June 2022 Issue
Partner William Rogers was recently featured in the Illinois State Bar Association's Illinois Law Journal June 2022 Issue. The article "Judge for Yourself" focuses on the Illinois Judges Association's endeavor to combat partisan rhetoric and misinformation about the judiciary. The initiative includes efforts to educate and engage the public, as well as drafting a declaration of judicial independence, producing service videos, and judicial polls and evaluations.
"In recent years, there have been more general and focused attacks...it's important locally and nationally that judges be independent and not subject to a lot of undue pressures on them," William says.
William Rogers serves as President of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial attorneys and judges that advocate for the right to a civil jury trial.

ABOTA carries out its mission through various activities of its local chapters, including educational programs, honorary events, scholarships, and networking opportunities.
On May 11, 2022, William Rogers, Kevin Martin, and Francis Petrek participated in an ABOTA Illinois Chapter luncheon honoring Justice Terrence Lavin of the Appellate Court, First District. The luncheon hosted over 60 circuit court and appellate judges.
