Laura Anderson is an associate at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP in Chicago, where she serves on the firm’s recruiting committee. She concentrates her practice in general tort litigation with a special interest in representing physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers in cases involving alleged medical negligence. Laura has served as trial counsel in cases taken through verdict before juries throughout the Chicagoland area, including Cook County and Will County. In both a local and national setting, she works with executives, senior management, and in-house counsel of corporations and hospitals in managing litigation as well as advising on litigation risks and strategy.
Laura is active in charitable work and has spent several years on the executive committee of the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundations’ Associates Board. Following law school, Laura served a two-year term as Judicial Clerk to the Honorable William D. Maddux while he was the Presiding Judge of the Law Division for the Circuit Court of Cook County.
