Kevin M. Ringel

Biography

As Vice Chair of the firm’s Medical Negligence and Healthcare Practice Group, Kevin focuses his practice on the representation of hospitals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers. Additionally, he represents clients in other general tort and product liability work. Notably, Kevin previously represented a large Chicago hospital in a complex mass tort action involving a cryogenic freezer where 60 patients sued the hospital alleging negligence and bailment theories.

Kevin draws on his experience on both sides of the aisle in defending his clients. Prior to joining Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, Kevin gained valuable experience as a plaintiff’s attorney at a prominent Washington, D.C. area personal injury firm, serving as lead trial counsel representing clients in wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury and whistleblower protection matters.

Kevin is also committed to mentoring the next generation of trial lawyers. He serves as a mentor in the firm’s Summer Associate program and volunteers as a coach of Northwestern University’s mock trial team.
