Kirsch Obtains Directed Verdict in Professional Liability Case

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP attorney Bryan J. Kirsch secured a directed verdict in favor of his client, an attorney specializing in estate, trust, and probate matters, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

The case involved allegations that the defendant failed to meet the applicable standard of care in preparing a will. The defense consistently maintained that the client’s conduct met the professional standard of care for estate planning and will preparation.

At the close of the plaintiff’s case-in-chief, the court granted a directed verdict for the defense, finding the plaintiff had failed to present sufficient evidence to support the claims. The matter was tried before Judge Michael Zink.

Bryan J. Kirsch is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office and has nearly two decades of experience defending attorneys in professional liability claims and bar matters throughout Illinois.
