Jonathan W. Powell

Biography

Jonathan is an associate at the firm’s Chicago office. He concentrates his practice on general civil litigation defense with an emphasis on product liability, construction disputes, premises liability, as well as toxic tort matters.

Prior to joining Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, Jonathan handled a wide range of civil litigation matters, including construction litigation, civil rights, governmental liability, and insurance matters from inception to jury trial and through appeal.

During law school, Jonathan clerked at a prominent law firm in the Chicago suburbs, where he gained extensive experience in all phases of civil litigation. In addition, he received the Jurisprudence Achievement Award, an award given to the highest achieving student in a course at the discretion of a faculty member, for his coursework in both Consumer Law and Law Practice Management.
