Becker to Speak at Music & Band Law Conference
Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Partner Jeffrey S. Becker will speak at the Lawyers for the Creative Arts’ Music & Band Law Conference on October 2, 2026 in Chicago.
Jeff will present “What Musicians Should Know About AI,” a session focused on the impact artificial intelligence is having on the music industry. The presentation will address key legal issues involving AI-generated and AI-assisted music, including copyrightability, generative AI training models, infringement concerns, and right of publicity considerations involving an artist’s voice or likeness.
The conference brings together musicians, band managers, attorneys, and music industry professionals for practical programming on legal and business issues affecting working bands and musicians.
Jeff is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office and founder of the firm’s Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group. He represents musicians, producers, songwriters, record labels, professional athletes, authors, filmmakers, and other creative professionals and entertainment-related businesses.
