Becker, Alasauskas, and McLoughlin Speak at Entertainment & Sports Law Society Summit

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP attorneys Jeff Becker, Amanda Alasauskas, and Mark McLoughlin recently spoke at the Entertainment & Sports Law Society Summit at the University of Illinois Chicago on April 11, 2026.

The summit was a one-day event bringing together law students, attorneys, and industry professionals for a dynamic exploration of entertainment and sports law.

Through panels, a keynote, and networking opportunities, attendees gained insight into careers in the field, current legal issues shaping the entertainment and sports industries, and pathways to break into the profession.

All three attorneys contributed to the program by engaging with students and sharing perspective on the legal landscape, helping foster interest in entertainment and sports law while supporting professional development and education around key industry issues.

Jeffrey S. Becker is a partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP in Chicago and founder of the firm’s Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group, established in 2012. He represents a broad range of clients across the entertainment industry, including musicians, producers, songwriters, record labels, professional athletes, authors, and filmmakers. Amanda J. Alasauskas is an associate in the firm’s Chicago office, focusing her practice on commercial litigation, business disputes, entertainment and media law, and intellectual property matters. She represents clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to international corporations and also provides transactional services, including contract drafting and trademark work. Mark J. McLoughlin is an associate in the firm’s Chicago office, focusing his practice on entertainment and media law. He works on industry-specific agreements, including recording, producer, and music management contracts, and handles commercial litigation and business disputes.
