Wahl to Speak for Lawyers for the Creative Arts and Women's Bar Association Illinois

Partner Michelle M. Wahl will speak for Lawyers for the Creative Arts and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois’ panel discussion, “Breaking into IP & Entertainment Law,” on October 12 at the Instituto Cervantes in Chicago, IL.

Wahl and other women leaders in entertainment and intellectual property law will address their extensive experience in the entertainment business, the challenges they faced, work/life balance and more. Networking, beverages, and live music by local artists will follow the panel. CLE credit is available.

Michelle M. Wahl is a Partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP and focuses her practice on intellectual property and entertainment matters, where she diligently represents a wide range of songwriters, artists, producers, and other creative individuals and entertainment-related businesses. With a Masters of Law in Intellectual Property, Michelle is Vice Chair of the firm's Entertainment and Media Practice Group and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation and Transactional Services Practice Group. Lawyers for the Creative Arts (LCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance to artists and arts communities that are financially unable to retain legal counsel. LCA conducts workshops on not-for-profit incorporation and tax exemption, seminars on the law of music, publishing, film, copyright, and mentors young attorneys. The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, one of the oldest and largest bar associations in the state of Illinois, was first established in 1914 by nine women lawyers practicing in the Chicago Metropolitan area.
