Monaco Named Chair of ABA TIPS Product Liability Committee
Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Partner Anthony J. Monaco has been named Chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section's (TIPS) Product Liability Committee for 2023-2024.
The ABA is the largest voluntary association of lawyers and legal professionals worldwide, and the TIPS community is one of the most active sections of the ABA. The Products Liability Committee examines a wide array of topics associated with product liability litigation and has several subcommittees dealing with issues such as automotive and machinery; drug, device, and biotechnology; food and beverage; consumer goods; class action and mass torts; eDiscovery; women in litigation; and diversity in the law.
At Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, Anthony serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and assists with the management of the firm. He handles product liability, class-action, and commercial litigation disputes throughout the country. Anthony is regularly retained as lead trial counsel for mass-tort and MDL or other consolidated product liability matters. While he has personally tried multi-million dollar cases to verdict in seven states, he also has considerable experience conducting business in Europe and Asia with the firm's foreign manufacturing clients.
