Fardy Named One of “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch” in Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Annual Survey
Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP announces that P. Stephen Fardy, a partner in its Chicago office, has been selected from a pool of more than 1,000 nominees as one of the “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch” by Law Bulletin Publishing Company, publishers of Chicago Lawyer magazine and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.
According to the publisher, the 2009 honorees are differentiated by their “intelligence, passion, scores of successful verdicts, hard work for clients, desire to help the community and willingness to work hard.” After narrowing the field of over 1,000 nominees by examining their career achievements, the selection committee then considers how far and how quickly the nominees have risen within their areas of practice as well as the contributions they have made to their communities and the profession.
Fardy earned a J.D. at Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law. He later earned an LL.M. at The John Marshall Law School—Center for Intellectual Property, while working full time. Today Fardy leads the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, which he founded.
