Stephanie Rifkind

Biography

Stephanie focuses her practice at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP primarily on asbestos defense litigation, particularly in Madison County and Cook County, Illinois. Stephanie manages high-volume caseloads for multiple clients in both premises and products-based asbestos matters. She defends industrial, commercial and retail premises defendants as well as manufacturer, supplier and retailer defendants for a wide range of product categories including automotive, aircraft, HVAC equipment and related insulation products, construction products, consumer appliances and industrial pumps.

Stephanie is responsible for the overall case management and coordination of multiple client dockets, involving all stages of asbestos defense litigation including pleading and motion strategy, complex written discovery issues, depositions, product and premises investigations, expert discovery, corporate representative preparation and consultation, trial preparation and settlement negotiations. She also handles various facets of asbestos litigation in additional jurisdictions nationwide and works with local attorneys across the United States. Stephanie has managed, coordinated and prepared written discovery nationally for multiple clients in asbestos litigation for over a decade. Stephanie also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Advancement of Women in Law Committee.
