James M. Gale

Biography

James focuses his practice in the representation of product manufacturers and healthcare providers in product liability and medical malpractice matters. James also has experience defending clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including healthcare providers in state correctional facilities in civil rights actions.

Prior to joining Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, James served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General in Springfield, Illinois. As an Assistant Attorney General, he gained considerable trial experience defending hundreds of civil rights lawsuits brought against State of Illinois officials and employees alleging violations under the First, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments. He has tried five federal civil rights jury trials to verdict in the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois.
