Emily J. Fitzgerald

Biography

Emily Fitzgerald manages a diverse practice of general litigation and counseling needs for her clients. She represents businesses and individuals in commercial, financial, and personal disputes. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, business disputes, and the financial aspects of family law. Emily also serves on the firm’s recruiting committee.

Emily is experienced in defending class actions involving consumer protection issues in state and federal court, specifically involving FDCPA issues. She is also experienced in defending manufacturers in multi-plaintiff product liability and chemical exposure lawsuits in numerous venues. Emily counsels business owners on litigation, intellectual property, and employment issues to enable them to focus on their business goals. Emily uses her extensive litigation and trial experience to advance her commercial clients’ interests. She works closely with her clients to develop creative solutions.

In addition, Emily uses her financial and business experience to counsel clients in the family law arena. She has extensive experience with business valuation, asset tracing, prenuptial agreements, custody disputes, parenting time, support, property allocation and division, and post-decree matters. She works with clients and opposing counsel to meet goals, whether through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
