Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP proudly sponsored the 2024 Illinois Creditors Bar Association's (ILCBA) Alexander P. White Dinner at the Erie Café on April 25, 2024.
Managing Partner A. Jay Koehler had the honor of presenting the ILCBA recognition to the Honorable Barbara N. Petrungaro. Petrungaro is a Circuit Judge in the Twelfth Circuit of Will County, Illinois. She obtained her degree from Lewis University and completed her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. After completing her law degree, Petrungaro worked as a law clerk under U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew P. Rodovich in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana. She gained further experience as an attorney with Swanson, Martin & Bell, and another prominent firm before serving as an assistant state's attorney for Will County in 2001.
Judge Petrungaro has been on the bench since 2005 and was recently assigned to the Law Division after serving many years as Supervising Judge of the Arbitration Division.
Founded in 1995, the Illinois Creditors Bar Association is a statewide organization for attorneys practicing in the area of creditors rights. Our members concentrate on various areas, including commercial collections, consumer collections, foreclosures, evictions, subrogation, and bankruptcy.
