Patterson Named Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth My Hero Award Recipient

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Partner William D. Patterson has been named the recipient of the My Hero Award by the Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth (LLAH) organization.

The My Hero Award is presented annually to a lawyer for their contributions to a mentoring or tutoring program. Bill’s contributions include being a volunteer tutor in the Chicago Lights tutoring program, co-founding the organization’s associate board, and serving on the board of directors, where he led the effort to form an anti-racism committee. He also chaired the Chicago Lights Gala of Hope for two consecutive years.

Bill will receive the award at the LLAH 2024 Spring Awards Celebration on April 18 in Chicago. The program will also feature a presentation of the 2024 Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Philanthropic Award, a live auction, raffles, and more. Proceeds from the evening benefit the Lend-A-Hand Tutoring at the Chicago Bar Association.
